Matt WebsterChief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer of Epoch Concepts, Matt Webster leads the company’s technological strategy and innovation, delivering solutions tailored to the complex needs of Government and Commercial clients. With a foundation in engineering, Matt began his career designing application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) to accelerate technologies such as Ethernet (including a VoIP patent), Fiber Channel, and space-based telemetry.

Over his career, Matt has worked stateside and overseas, founded and collaborated with startups, and held technical and managerial roles across industries. His experience includes working with organizations such as Hewlett-Packard, Johns Hopkins, Kaiser Permanente, and Department of Defense research labs.

Most recently, Matt has focused on advancing technology solutions for civilian, DoD, and intelligence programs, specializing in Zero Trust architecture, Applied Data Science, and Large Language Models. Guided by a “human-led and technology-driven” philosophy, Matt advances Epoch Concepts’ commitment to leveraging emerging technologies to solve complex challenges through innovation and collaboration. His work spans cyber operations, nuclear deterrence, CWMD, counter UAS, and vehicle condition-based maintenance, as well as automating workflows to deliver rapid, actionable insights for internal and client use.

Matt holds a degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Fresno. When not driving innovation at Epoch Concepts, he explores his love of vexillology, scavenger hunts, and Washington, D.C.’s rich history with his family.
