Wendy RipleyVP of Sales, Fed, SLED & Enterprise
As VP of Sales for Fed, SLED & Enterprise , Wendy works to enable our sales teams focusing on providing government customers with the mission-critical IT solutions they need. Prior to taking this role, Wendy expanded collaborations by driving and growing partnerships with Epoch’s large ecosystem of strategic partners as Director of Strategic Alliances. Wendy was previously at Dell Federal for seven years leading a sales team for Dell Federal supporting large federal system integrators and consistently overachieving team goals.
Wendy began her career in sales when, noticing a marketing opportunity, she started a helium balloon delivery service, Balloons By the Bunch, out of her college dorm room. She continued to hone her sales skills selling Cutco knives, making enough cold calls and cutting through enough pennies to distinguish herself as the highest achieving sales person in her region. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in American Studies, publishing and speaking on nineteenth-century women writers, and persuading college students they wanted to take English classes as a Professor of English at George Washington University. She took a sabbatical from academics to work as a pastry chef in the White House under two administrations, wrote a cookbook with local pastry chef Michel Richard, and worked as a consultant and project manager for Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown, where all proceeds go to an entrepreneurship program for service-disabled veterans in connection with Georgetown University.
